Whether you like it or not, Barack Obama is going to be the 44th President of the United States. This could be difficult news for many of you, seeing as John McCain was a fantastic candidate no matter which way you look at it. The way I see it, Barack Obama was the best choice not only for the United States, but for the whole world. In 22 countries across the globe polled on which candidate they wished to be president. The results were 3-4:1 for Obama. That's huge. By electing Obama, we've not only done something great for our country but we've also began rebuilding our reputation as a powerful, respectable empire. One thing I saw by the numbers last night was that we are a country tired of the past 8 years of administration. I'm especially impressed with young voters. I am a young voter like most of you. This election was something that I felt a part of. I felt responsible for rebuilding what our previous generations have mistakenly hurt in this country. Any way you look at it, it's time for something different. It's time to step up and show our government that we're unhappy and fed up, and that's exactly what we've done. John McCain was a good candidate as well. He had some great policies and was a true fighter for our country. It's hard to argue with such a dedicated candidate such as McCain, he's a great man. His concession speech was graceful and dignified, be proud if you voted for him. But most importantly, whether you voted McCain or Obama last night, it's very important to fully support Obama as he is inagurated in January. He may have different views than you, but it's so important that we come together as a country and back our new office so that we can begin rebuilding America. Thanks everyone for voting!

Meg
