Here it is! The most updated list of my favorite Swedish bands, artists and musicians. I hope this will bring you all to love Sweden as much as I do. Have any other Swedish artists to recommend? Sweden seems to breed so many great ones already, I can't wait to see how many more emerge in 2010!
Rebecca's Closet
I think I found a new favorite person! Rebecca's blog and Flickr have definitely been a huge inspiration for me lately. We definitely have similar styles and she's so adorable with her cute cute hair and her obsession with tights and boots (like me). I'm always a huge fan of anyone who has a "what I wore" blog that wears anything affordable. Rebecca is able to mix vintage with pieces from target, f21, BCBGeneration and other super affordable places. I love you Rebecca! Just another blog to add to my Google Reader!

Ida Filippa
Ida Filippa of By the Girl is only 14! Can you remember being half this cool when you were 14? I can't! I was definitely in my awkward stage. Ida is beautiful and has it all put together. What I love most about her is not only her amazing sense of style, but her silly attitude behind it all. She doesn't take herself too seriously and I love that.

IKEA Heights
IKEA Heights from DaveAOK on Vimeo.
Being a huge IKEA fan, this show on Channel 101 couldn't please me more! Honesty, it's kind of cheesy and not really well acted, but I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be. This may be my new favorite show, especially since It's filmed at my old IKEA in Burbank, CA. I'm just impressed that they managed to film this without getting caught.

Wild Beasts: Two Dancers
I'm constantly looking on Pitchfork for the "best new albums". I was pleasantly surprised to see Wild Beasts new album Two Dancers on the list. I immediately gave it a listen and was hooked. It's nice to see modern day glam-rock doing successfully. Their video for track 2 (Hooting & Howling) is phenomenal. Enjoy.

The Indie Rock Coloring Book
I've definitely delayed posting about this for no reason at all. I received The Indie Rock Coloring Book in the mail about 3 weeks ago and have had a lot of time to get coloring. All of the sites that sell this book are very vague about which bands are featured in this lovely coloring bible. However, I will not be vague. The bands/artists included are Devendra Banhart, Rilo Kiley, The New Pornographers, The Shins, Broken Social Scene, Bon Iver, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Iron & Wine, MGMT, Stars, Laura Veirs, Bloc Party, The National, Andrew Bird, Wolf Parade, The Dears, The Magic Numbers, The Tallest Man on Earth, Au Revoir Simone, Wolfmother, Joseph Arthur, Holly Throsby, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, King Creosote, Hayden, Sunset Rubdown, My Brightest Diamond, Elvis Perkins and Noah and the Whale.
The best part about The Indie Rock Coloring Book is that all procedes go to the Yellow Bird Project!
