BLOG CRUSH - Positively Melancholy

A recent customer and new best friend, Stephanie, has an amazing blog. I found out about it when I woke up this morning, and already I feel like I have to share it with everyone! The design alone on this blog is something worth getting excited about. The clean design and great type make this blog so iconic! Stephanie posts about what she's wearing, current fashion topics, favorite editorials and even gives us a look into her personal life. The best part for me is that she's only 18 and it seems like she's doing so much! And ohhh she has the cutest new kitten! But wait! It gets better, Stephanie struggles with CFS which has made her immobile for the past 3 years. This certainly won't be stopping her though, I mean look at her! She's beautiful and talented and isn't going to let anything get in her way!

PEOPLE WE LOVE: Serge, Jane and Charlotte

My absolute favorite late 60s, early 70s power couple! Serge and Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin had a 13 year relationship of pure beauty and a lot of time in the public spotlight. They made the most beautiful music together, like their most famous song "Je t'aime... moi non plus" as shown in the above video. Plus, they spawned one of the most beautiful women musician/actress of our time. Charlotte Gainsbourg!





Charlotte is definitely one of my favorite musicians and actresses right now. Not sure what you've seen her in? She was a predominate character in I'm Not There and The Science of Sleep as well as many French films. Above is one of her music videos. Enjoy her beauty.

PEOPLE WE LOVE: Victoria Bergsman

Victoria Bergsman, former front woman of Swedish Indie Pop group The Concretes is definitely an icon. Victoria lead The Concretes in some of my favorite albums and also sung on everyone's favorite PB&J track, Young Folks. Victoria has moved on from The Concretes to start her own project, Taken By Trees. I absolutely love the music of Taken by Trees but I definitely miss the days of The Concretes with Victoria. Now the band's drummer Lisa Milberg (who is also amazing) sings lead vocals. All in itself it's pretty impressive to have a drummer/lead vocalist. PEOPLE WE LOVE: JENNY KRISTINA

Alright, I'm partially featuring this photographer just because she is from Sweden. But she's a brilliant photographer as well as being amazing in the geographic region of her life. Jenny Kristina is definitely a gifted lady. She puts me to shame in making each photograph look fresh and unique. She posesses a certain quality that is definitely her own. Today's featured photographer is the lovely Angela Boyias (aka brainheartlunggut on flickr). This girl is so talented and only 16 years of age. She makes me feel pathetic in my accomplishments. And makes me want to run away with my camera and forget my responsibilities. She has a free sensibility in her photography.
